01/20/07. Super Sunday Games. T.Bank’s Stadium, Champlin LTF.
2100-2300. Tom "The Bank" Burba was opened for
business early in the night in games one and two, he sunk 12 of 16 and won both
games by himself. Then the tall lanky Russian rebounding phenom Victor showed
his rebounding and shooting skills around the basket to win game number three. A
short black man who plays like former Antonio Spurs Avery Johnson (Current head
coach of the Mavericks) showed up and lighted up the penetration lanes and
coupled with Mr. Ho’s three pointers, The Russian Phenom, the Three Pointers
Shooting Wiz and Avery-Twin won game four by the score of 15-0!! Ouch-a-rama!!
The last game of the night, Doc MM, The Bank and Scott (I gave
him a name because I never got his name?) ran the points up to 16-9 and 17-10
and then they hit an offensive roadblock. Team Russian Phenom turned up the heat
with points from all three players to tie it up at 17-17! Doc MM decided to take
matters in his own hands and penetrated with a nice nifty double moves from the
left perimeter that got a step and half on big Mr. Ho/Three Pointers Shooting
Wiz and he met the Russian Phenom in the paint, Doc MM fake a move to the left,
Doc MM fake a move to the right, and then fake coming back outside to the
comfort of three points territory and lofted up a right hook shot over Mr. Ho
and Victor-Champ, Doc MM and company’s up 18-17.
On the next possession, Doc MM launched a 40+ footer monster
three from the right abyss to upped the lead to 20-17! Then the steering wheel
and tires fell off the Bank’s SUV of three pointers cash deposits and CDs,
Avery-Twin scored on three consecutive shots, the last one a long range 30+
footer to win it all 22-20 with Scott’s hands in his face!!! Boo Ya!!
The VRB fans leapt onto their feet and rushed the stadium
court to get The Bank’s autograph.
T. Bank: Even when I lose, people
want my autographs, I love being so famous. The Bank is open as usual for
business!
VRB fan #3944522: Mr. Bank, you are
smoother than a 15 years old’s behind sir, may I have your John Hancock?
T.Bank (grinning, yet have a
serious face): Thanks, just make sure to take that to Austria!
