01/25/07. Terrific Thursday VRB Games. Fireball Center, St.
Louis Park LTF. 1900-2115. Doc MM wins the Golden
Tricycle by the barest of margin over Big Dan Lefty 11-9 and 11-9. In the second
game, Big DL was up 7-1 and 8-2 and lost! Yikes! Doc MM’s slim GT’s victory over
Big DL sets up an unlikely GT match up: Doc MM vs. Fireball Mark!!
VRB fans: Go Fireball Mark!
Luther Dunne: This is unprecedented
to say the least!
David Zooman: Fireball Mark has
played tremendous high percentage racquetball all night and won game one against
Doc MM 11-6!
Luther Dunne: And Doc MM won game
number two 11- 7 to set up this unlikeliest of match up!
DZ: When was the last time that
Fireball had an opportunity like this?
LD: When pops in the vending
machines were still 50 cents and….
DZ: and….VCRs were $1,000.00!
LD and DZ: Hahahaha!!
…Tiebreaker Game’s Number 3 for the Golden Tricycle between
Doc MM vs. FM…
Heckler Chad Righty: Go Mark!
(Picking his nose, how disgusting and trying to distracts Doc MM!)
Joel Warrior: Go Fireball Mark!
….In the tiebreaker, Doc MM started like a Minnesota prairie
fire with deep incredible lobs into the abysses to take a dominating early lead
of 7-3. However, FM turned up the heat with deep forehand missiles and several
amazing gets to go up 8-7! The two RB warriors played racquetball tug of war and
fought to an even keel with ballistic blasts and hammers shots for dynamic ties
of 8-8 and 9-9! Unfortunately just when the VRB fans and JW up on the peanut
gallery and the heckler Chad Righty was cheering the loudest (Or in Chad’s case,
jeering the loudest against Doc MM! Haha!), FM left up a medium distance setup
that Doc MM crushed down the line to go up dangerously 10-9. Then FM missed a
golden GT opportunity when he skipped a front court setup that Doc MM jammed him
with a cross court rip. FM left up a backhand front court setup and Doc MM splat
that out to go home with the GT 11-9! Whew! Good high percentage racquetball
Fireball Mark! Doc MM 11, FM 9.
Other Games:
Doc MM 11, JW 9…JW played very well with deep Z-lobs into the
left abyss to flummox Doc MM’s return game….Doc MM 11 vs. New Chad Righty 9….Old
Crowder Chad Righty defeats Big DL, FM, and Big Paul Righty with his crowding
closet ways again! Hahaha!....Doc MM 11, Big Paul Righty 6….
…And Big Joel Warrior gave Big Paul Righty a donut 11-0!
