02/09/07. Fabulous Friday Racquetball. Nick Vang’s Palace,
Shoreview YMCA Courts. 1945-2100. The peanut
gallery was full to the brim to watch Doc MM takes on the juggernaut Pete Storrs
in another epic match of power versus control! The Evil Joel Warrior showed up
with his devious devil may care grin, Fireball Mark all decked out in cowboy
suede brown wears, the ever present Colonel Mike Larson Mustard, the referee
volunteer and Doc MM biggest fan Dennis Righty! Big Mark Lange champ (He won his
first round Men’s A’s match versus the Master of Slow Ronny Berquist! Lange won
and Berquist ended up throwing up in the garbage! Yikes! Racquetball’s tough for
some folks!). The ex-Progressive contingent of Nick Vang and his brother Wayne
showed up to cheer for Doc MM as well…

In game number one, the two
racquetball warriors fought it close with the scores tied at 6-6 at one point,
and then Pistol Pete Storrs turned on the afterburners with zinging cross court
missile drives and a vicious Z-drive into the left abyss to win 15-8. PS 15, Doc
MM 8.
In game number two, PS went up early
at 6-2, but Doc MM ripped some good deep passes to tie it up at 6-6. However,
Doc MM left too many front court setups up and also some backwall buffets and PS
was way too good and PS won 15-9 in another hard fought racquetball brawl! PS
15, Doc MM 9.
Doc MM plays again at 1130 tomorrow morning, we hope to see
everyone there champs!
