03/08/07. Terrific Thursday VRB Games. Bee’s Hive, St. Louis
Park LTF. 1900-2115. Doc MM and the current reigning
GT Monarch Big Dan Lefty had a missiles fest in their first game with the scores
going back and forth between the two like a pendulum of blasts and more blasts.
The tension mounted with the score tied at 9-9. Big DL skipped two front court
setups and the tide turned and Doc MM served and shoots to win 11-9. Doc MM 11,
Big DL 9.
In game number two, Big DL found his
offensive lefty groove and served and blasts his way to a relative easy 11-5
win. It was close in the beginning with both racquetball champs ripping bullets
passes and incredible speedy gets, however Big DL turned up it another gear and
left Doc MM in the dust. Big DL 11, Doc MM 5.
The tiebreaker was much anticipated; even big Joel Warrior
brought some spicy Bee’s Hive popcorn to watch this showdown between current GT
and former GT monarchs! The two RB champs traded blows in the middle of the ring
with photon low missile deep passes and amazing athletic gets for early ties of
2-2, 3-3 and 5-5. Then somehow, Big DL has another gear on his racquetball
vehicle and he turned up the turboblast and blew right past Doc MM with
mach-speed deep photon passes and front court flat killshots to win 11-6! Big DL
successfully defends his GT and reclaims the GT! Big DL 11, Doc MM 6.
VRB fans and pundits: Long live the
current reigning GT King Big Dan Lefty!!
Other Games:
Big JW unleashed a torrent of funky unpredictable drives and
lobs serves to win against the rooky Chad Righty….Doc MM served up a maelstrom
of cut junk Z-lobs to both rooky Tim Catfisherman Righty and Chad Righty to win
easily 11-2 and 11-2….JW splits games with CR and TR….Doc MM actually started
the night on an excellent note with a junk medium paced Z-lobs clinic against JW
and winning easily 11-2.
Big Joel Warrior’s Delirious Red Ball Ramblings:
Big JW: I know that Marcus has those
evil red balls hidden somewhere! He’s going to take them out when I ever get to
a tiebreaker against him!
Doc MM: I assure you my friend Joel
and the good American people that the evil red menace known as the evil red ball
has been effectively neutralized. We got a sincere apology from the Evil Red
Ball Corporation that they are sorely very sorry about any harms that their red
evil balls may have done on people’s racquetball game and mental psyche. We
assure you with utmost confidence that the little red evil ball has been put to
rest. Thank you for your time ladies and gentlemen.
