Pinch Drills
If you need to develop your pinch game, then
try these drills:
Note: As you do these drills, remember to
adhere to racquetball fundamentals like staying level, eyes on the ball, and
hitting it flat and follow though completely and developing a good rhythm.

- Stand in the middle of the court about a foot behind the
dotted line, alternately hitting pinches with your forehand and backhand. 20
times. Relocate each time.
- Divide the court into nine quadrants behind the dotted
lines and hit three pinches from each area. 3 times each area. Relocate each
time.
- Divide the court into nine quadrants forward of the
dotted line and hit three pinches from each area. 3 times each area.
Relocate each time.
- Stand in the back right corner, hit a short ceiling and
hit a pinch into the right sidewall. 5 times. Relocate each time.
- Stand in the back left corner, hit a short ceiling and
hit a pinch into the left sidewall. 5 times. Relocate each time.
- Stand in the middle of the court and about six feet from
the back wall and hit AWBs and hit pinches off them off the backwall. 3
times. Relocate each time.
- Stand in the back left corner, hit a long ceiling, and
hit a pinch off the backwall and relocate each time. 5 times.
- Stand in the back right corner, hit a long ceiling, and
hit a pinch off the backwall and relocate each time. 5 times.
- Stand about two to three feet from the backwall, in the
middle, and toss the ball off the backwall. Hit your pinches working on maximum
extension and/or ...
- Put the ball on your racquet face and toss it using the racquet.
Hit pinches working on maximum extension.
