Stationary Maximum Extension Drill

Create a stationary target by putting a racquetball on a stand / or inverted cup about 1-2 feet high. To achieve a maximum extension on your swing, make contact with the ball as far as you can get from the ball and still hit the sweet spot. Use proper front foot plant and back foot launch. Work on a level body motion throughout the swing and thus a flat and level stroke.

1.  Backhand down the line pass
2.  Forehand down the line pass
3.  Backhand cross court pass
4.  Forehand cross court pass
5.  Backhand down the line and cross court ceiling shots
6.  Forehand down the line and cross court ceiling shots

 

Mobile Maximum Extension Drill


Stand at various points on court and toss the ball as far as away from you as possible, yet close enough for you to work on a maximum extension swing. Use proper front foot plant and back foot launch. Work on a level body motion throughout the swing and thus a flat and level stroke.

1.  Backhand down the line pass
2.  Forehand down the line pass
3.  Backhand cross court pass
4.  Forehand cross court pass
5.  Backhand down the line and cross court ceiling shots
