Correcting errors
Lob serve

 

 
  • My lob serve hits sidewall too soon: Move starting position closer to sidewall. Change front wall target so ball hits farther from sidewall. Change angle of racquet face at contact. Bounce ball more to side of body.

     
  • My lob serve hits the ceiling: Racquet face should close more. Ball should be contacted farther in front of body. Let the ball drop a little more before contacting it.

     
  • My lob serve hits too far from sidewall: Move starting position closer to the sidewall. Move target closer to sidewall. Change angle of racquet face at contact. Ball may be too far to side of body. Move close to ball, or drop ball closer.

     
  • My lob serve hits the back wall before second bounce: Hit ball with less force and/or lower on the front wall.

     
  • My lob serve hits close to the short line, but doesn’t bounce deep enough: Hit ball with more force and/or higher on the front wall.
