One More Step Rule: (for Backwall Plays) If you are preparing to take
the ball off the backwall, then whatever area you think might be the second
bounce area for the ball to drop into, take another step back towards the
backwall. Most amateurs have a tendency to be too far from the backwall on these
backwall setups opportunities. They end up scooping the ball towards the front
wall because the ball is behind them. Take that extra step and move with the
ball towards the front wall for maximum power and consistency on backwall shots.
Second Rule: If
you think the ball is low enough and you are ready to strike the ball with your
ERP, the rule of thumb is to wait another second or two for a lower and thus
better shot. The One-Second Rule teaches you patience in waiting for the ball to
drop lower for you to hit better high percentage racquetball shots.

when the ball comes quickly.
Out: Failure to return a ball during play.

the front wall before leaving the court are replayed, otherwise a point
or loss of serve results against the player hitting it.
