Unavoidable Hinder: An unintentional obstruction of a player by an opponent during play. Also see hinder.

Up and Back: See I-Formation.

USRA: United States Racquetball Association.

V-Ball: A cross court passing shot that hits the sidewall as it goes by the other player.

Visualization: A mental technique, where a player replay and goes through their stroke mentally in perfect sequences.

Volley: A shot hit before the bounce, also calls a fly shot or cut off shot.

Wall Paper Ball: a shot that hugs the sidewall.

Waffle Face: To be struck with the racquet string bed, leaving a waffle-like impression.

Winner: A shot that ends the rally, usually a kill shot or passing shot.

Wrist Snap: The combination of wrist rotation and wrist flexion at racquet-ball impact.

Z-Ball: A defensive shot with the path of front wall to sidewall to sidewall to floor.

Z-Serve: A serve with the path of front wall to sidewall to floor.
