Donuts Amendment 07.17.03 DA:
The Donuts Committee, voted upon Fireball Mark's suggestion of
amending the Donut Rule to making Donuts only count between classes.
For example, only "B" players can give each other donuts and
respectively for "A" and "Open" players. The Donut Amendment
07.17.03 does not apply to "C" players. This means that "A" players
can not collect bonus Donut points from "B" players. And "B" players
can not collect bonus donut points from "A" players.
The officials of the VRB Pro Am Tour believes that this change is
both fair and equitable for all classes of players. It should
increase the competition between classes of players without the
humiliation variable involved with a Donut Loss.
Statistical game
data from 2000, 2001 and 2002 and found that an occurrence of a donut
game was a rarity. There were only approximately 5 donuts in 2000, 4 in
2001, and 6 in 2002 out of hundreds of games played. We can conclude
statistically that the playing strength between the 'B' level and the
'A' level is competitive enough at VRT at this time to keep the Bonus

Please note that
the player with the most points does not necessarily correlates to
playing strength, just that the particular player has played many more
games than the other players below him or her on the ranking chart.
Players with zero point total was tracked because they played at least
two games.
