Mike Locker
Mike Locker is a Minnesota racquetball icon. He has been the most
dominant racquetball pro to come out of Minnesota with his unique blend
of powerful rips and cutter serves.
Winner of countless consecutive MN
State titles, he played on the IRT Pro Tour and achieved a ranking in
the top ten. He has played fierce racquetball combat and defeated the
likes of Ellis, Swain and Monchik.
Locker retired from the Minnesota's Racquetball scene with a flawless
records of multiple state titles. Early successes on the IRT Pro showed
that he could take his game to the next level.
And through it all, he
played racquetball the Mike Locker's Way and with tremendous successes.
In
an era of top flight MN talented racquetball pros like Granberg, Homa,
Frautschi, and Ferris swimming like sharks in the large Minnesota RB
pond, Locker dominated them all with his legendary unique cutter style
and unconventional curled wrist backhand splats. He is an original in
the same breath as Fischer's complex simplicity.
