Back Foot

The Back Foot is the Key to Improving Your RB Game!

For years, McClayson has practiced at developing a consistent and powerful drive serve. The number one issue that he personally faced was timing. Everything crucial was analyzed to developing a consistent powerful low drive: the ball drop, the toss arm tuck, staying low and level, the proper complete follow through, eyes on the ball and hitting the ball on its downward trajectory.

While all of these variables play a key part in the overall development of a powerful consistent low drive, McClayson discovered that the golden key that opens the Consistent Powerful Low Drive Lock. This was the proper planting and rotation of the back foot for EVERY racquetball stroke! Eureka!

McClayson has found the panacea that will tie together all of the other factors. While practicing a blistering, accurate low drive serve using the Back Foot technique, McClayson ripped an astounding 80% low photon two bounces drives into the corner at will.

Drive service sequence

1. Drop
2. Tuck toss arm
3. Step, plant, rotates back foot to start the stroke with the lower body first
4. Rip and complete follow through
5. Quick and speedy Relocation

The back foot facilitates correct timing of all of the other power sources - starting with the back foot, which initiates the lower body, the lower body facilitates the upper body’s rotation, and culminating with the powerful wrist snap at racquet/ball contact point!

POW!

McClayson was just decking some monstrous low drives with lethal accuracy into the deep court abysses to flummox many future opponents! McClayson visualizes the Back Foot as the SpringBoard/Diving Board that launches the powerful large lower body into action! And the result is a spectacular low efficient drive serve with little efforts! POW again!

Conclusively, every efficient powerful racquetball stroke starts with the proper planting and rotation of the key back foot. The proper back foot plant propels the lower body into a powerful burst of forward momentum towards the ball and the results are fast, low, accurate drive serves, deceptive high deep lobs, and deep ceiling balls!

The amount of force on the back foot determines if you want to hit a soft or hard shot! That’s it! The adherence of racquetball fundamentals with the key of starting every stroke with the back foot rotation promotes correct stroke mechanics. This translate into more consistency, accuracy and power to every one of your racquetball shots!!
