Service margin of error
To increase
the margin of error on these serves:
Drop the
Jam serve between the left drive and right Z-drive zones. This will allows
for the serve to angle toward the left wall, hit the sidewall on the fly,
and taking it first bounce close to the returner's position.
The Wrap
serve travels a longer path and contact with the sidewall deeper in the
court. These two variables only allow a small degree of error; because if it
is hit too high and hard, the result will be a juicy mid-court setup.
So to increase the margin of error on the Wrap, I would use a higher and
softer service than the Jam.
1. Right
Drive to the corner
2. Right Z-Drive to the corner
3. Off paced Drive to the corner
4. Jam drive to the right corner
5. High Lob to the right corner
6. Garbage Lob the right corner
7. High Z-lob to the right corner
8. Garbage Z-lob to the right corner
9. Wrap around the right corner
10. High spike garbage drive to the right corner
11. Low spike garbage drive to the right corner
Multiply 11
by two for the Left corner = 22 standard serves!! By varying the
service location, height, velocity, and angles of each serves, you will have
an extensive service arsenal that will keep the opponent honest and awake.
