Returning serves from waist to knee level. This is still a little high
to think in anything other than percentage shots and this means using
one-walled returns. Of course, it's important to note that in amateur
and professional racquetball, 60 percent of the shots travel
crosscourt.
It seems many people have a
phobia about hitting down the line because of fear of hitting the side
wall. The number one percentage shot in this situation is the down the
line. Use the cross court for variety and to keep them honest, just
remember the crosscourt go to their forehand side.

Service return at knee height or lower: Yes! the ball is finally down
where we want it. You don't have to swing down to kill it. If anything
you want to miss on the upswing, because if you leave it up, you've
still got a midcourt pass and the ball headed 39 feet away to the back
court. The down the line is still the percentage shot and using the
cross court for variety.
