Winning errors

Decrease Your Unforced Errors:   This one is a no-brainer or a give-me. VW is an excellent racquetball player with tremendous anticipating skills and gets to a lot of balls. The top reason he loses to McClayson on a consistent basis, he makes twice as many unforced errors as MM. VW may hit more outright winners, but he also hit more outright skippies. Whereas, MM just pry his high percentage racquetball trade of deep serves and passes and wait for plums to fall from the sky like torrent rain drops.

Learn from Your Opponent's Winners and Your Mistakes:   Sometimes these two learning opportunities are the same thing. If your opponent is beating the snout out of ya, quote unquote JW, then watch him and find out what he is doing that you are not doing and do what he does and fit it within your game plan and game style. McClayson likes to go watch tournament racquetball because he likes to watch and pick up different hybrid serves, stroking techniques in certain situation, and how to fit it within his game style creatively and increase his service effectiveness for example.

Be Your Own Best Friend:

Lots of racquetballers yell at themselves and berate themselves for their unforced errors and mistakes, but that’s like taking a sharp pencil and poking yourself in the eye. Why? If you want to live life to the fullest and play racquetball to a very high level, it is pertinent for your health and your game to love yourself and give yourself a break! If you won’t, who will? And at what price? So, start being your own best friend and you will see a dramatic increase in your enjoyment of this great game of ours and one day you will wake up and even beat a juggernaut of Velocity Mike’s caliber! Now, that would be English Grand!
