Relocation to Center Court

#3 Ball Voyeurism:
This is a disorder similar to Vanity
Smurf Syndrome. The amateur player is making good time to relocate to
center court, when inexplicably he slows down his foot speed to watch
his ball fly by.
He needs to relocate to center court quickly with big
steps and still watch the ball. You should not have to slow down your
path to center court to watch your shot or opponent. You need to track
the ball while you are moving quickly to center court. Set your feet and
physically be down and ready for the opponent’s return!
#4 Stroll to the
Grocery Store:
Many
amateurs have this mentality that there is plenty of time to relocate to
center court, set their feet, and be down and ready for the opponent
shot. Well! Wakeup people! This is racquetball! You do not have that
much time - considering how fast the ball travels these days!
One of the
key to successful racquetball is to relocate to center court with utmost
urgency! You are not walking down to the corner grocery store to pick up
a few things after work; you are not taking a little jaunt around the
park with your canine! There is a person with a big fat racquet who will
crush the ball at will. Get your ass to center court with big steps and
have an ‘Urgent Mentality’ about it!
Be super urgent when relocating to
center court after each shot, rally, serve, ceiling ball. And move!
Move! And move faster to center court! If you develop this super urgent
mentality, you will be hard to beat and see your game take off like a
Mach Stealth plane.
