Steps to hitting effective shots off
ceiling ball
setup
1. Read and anticipate the ball’s V, Power, Angle on the ball’s first
contact point with the ceiling. Determine the distance of the ball’s position from
front wall. Be wary of reverse ceiling ball resulting in reverse spins.
2. Read and anticipate the ball’s V, Power, Angle on the ball’s second
contact point with the front wall. Determine height on front wall.
3. Read and anticipate the ball’s variables on its third contact point,
which is the floor.
4. Read and anticipate the ball’s variable with its fourth contact point,
which is the backwall (or sidewall, see discussion). Please note that when
the ball caroms off the backwall, gravity is a constant that is pulling it
down, so the ball will slant at an angle from the contact point and the
degrees of the slant is dependent on the ball’s velocity and power.
