RB Technique Myths

#3  The mental game is not as important as the physical game
False. The mental game is just as important, if not more important, than the physical side of racquetball. The pros use visualizations before, during and after their matches to win more matches and to elevate (and maintain) their advance level of plays. Top pro and instructor, Jason Mannino swears by this method for his top ten ranking!

#4  Stand up straight for drive service returns
The logic behind this advice is that since your first move is to go up during service return, the returner should thus stand relatively straight up for drive service return. This is false. A leveled and low stance offers the greatest variety of movement to receive service. It is always easier to go from a low to high position (if not automatic), than it is to change from a high to low position. Five times pro champion and one of the greatest returners, Sudsy Monchik stands relatively low and get down to the level of the drive serves.
