POWER ZONES
The Power
Zone is defined as the approximate area from the big toe of the
front foot to the inner thigh of the back leg. Here's the Power Zone measured for 4 different serves:
Left Z
The drop zone is slightly in front of
the middle of the power zone and contact point is knee to mid thigh level.
Lob
Middle of Power zone. Waist level contact
point.
Z-forehand
Three inches in front of power zone and
the contact point is knee to mid thigh.
Forehand drive
The drop zone is slightly behind
the big toe and the contact point is calf to knee height. On drives, you
need to hit slightly up on it to help it pull across the short line.
